GAL SUPPORT
The Guardian ad Litem Support Program is an invaluable initiative that goes above and beyond to ensure the welfare and protection of vulnerable children. With unwavering dedication, the program takes immense strides in recruiting, training, and retaining Guardian ad Litem Volunteer Advocates, who play a pivotal role in representing children under the jurisdiction of the state. These specially trained advocates become the eyes, ears, and voice of the child in various arenas, including court, school, the child welfare system, and their temporary living situation. But their commitment doesn't end there; throughout the duration of the case, Volunteer Advocates diligently monitor the child's well-being, tirelessly advocating for the services they desperately need. Their ultimate goal remains delivering a permanent and secure solution, be it through reunification with the family, permanent guardianship, or adoption. While the journey to permanency can vary in duration, with some fortunate cases finding resolution within 12 months, others may require a longer and more arduous path. Nonetheless, the unwavering dedication of the Guardian ad Litem Support Program ensures that no child is left without a caring and guiding presence in their life.
