Jazz on the Harbor set for March 30 in Punta Gorda
The sounds of smooth jazz will again be echoing across Charlotte County at the third annual Jazz on the Harbor, a music and culinary event that benefits the Guardian ad Litem Foundation, 20th Judicial Circuit.
Jazz on the Harbor will be held March 30 at Isles Yacht Club in Punta Gorda. The event features passed appetizers and a plated dinner, as well as a silent auction, wine bottle purchase event and beautiful waterfront views. This year’s featured performer is The Top Shelf Trio featuring Bob Minor.
“Each of our two previous Jazz on the Harbor events has sold out, and we anticipate the same this year,” said Jessica Stanfield, executive director of the Guardian ad Litem Foundation. “Jazz on the Harbor has quickly become a favorite event for our organization, bringing a fun celebration for friends who enjoy a good time while helping a good cause.”
Proceeds support the foundation’s mission of helping Southwest Florida children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned. The foundation supports court-appointed volunteer child advocates who represent children as they navigate the judicial, education and child welfare systems. Donations help cover costs like birthday parties, tutoring, summer camp programs, movie tickets, and registration fees for clubs and sports, as well as new beds, linens, blankets and stuffed animals so children feel comfortable in their new living arrangements.
Jazz on the Harbor begins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 at Isles Yacht Club, 1780 W. Marion Ave. in Punta Gorda. Tickets are $85 each and available at VoicesForKids.org/event/jazz-on-the-harbor-2023 or by calling 239-245-7787.
Barbara Berman and Carl Wolaver are serving as co-chairs for Jazz on the Harbor.
